炉下村是炉下镇政府驻地所在的村，紧邻316国道，是全镇的集镇村。村名早先作杜陵，后以旧时冶铁炉的遗迹得名“炉下”。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据《1993年南平市志·地名志》所载，村子原名杜陵。当地原是一片荒野，只留有一台古代冶铁炉。始祖自闽清迁来，立业繁衍，有人问他家住何处，他答“炉下”，村名由此而来。[1]
行政与地理[edit]
炉下村设8个村民小组，村内没有自然村。全村土地面积1.2万亩，其中林地1万亩、耕地1776亩。[1][2]
产业与公益[edit]
村民以畜牧业为主导产业，2005年建成村民俱乐部，内设健身器材、电视室、棋牌室、农家书屋和电子阅览室等。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明洪武年间，此地划入寿山里，清代仍旧。民国时期先隶属南平县第六区炉溪乡，称炉下保，其后改属炉湄乡，再归第四区炉下乡。1958年并入东方红（夏道）人民公社，1961年分出设炉下公社，村子改称炉下大队，1984年改设炉下村民委员会。[1]
文物[edit]
延平区第三次全国文物普查名录列有炉下水尾山、炉下后门山、炉下斑竹山和炉下垅坪山四处青铜时代遗址，都在本村。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2024年2月，炉下村被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。2025年11月，被确定为「福建省2025年度省级“一村一品”专业村」，所列品种为百合花。[1]
