炉下镇在福建省南平市延平区，地处闽江上游，紧邻延平湖，距延平城区20公里。境内以丘陵山地为主，镇中有唐代始建的林重寺，南宋学者李侗的故里与墓地也在这里。[1]
地理环境[edit]
炉下镇低山广布，丘陵与山地居多。全镇森林覆盖率达到65.7%，林地面积10.83万亩，耕地0.72万亩。[1] 镇域面积89.7平方千米，气候属亚热带季风气候。[4]
杜溪与吴丹溪穿境而过。两溪总长超过40公里，其流域面积则超过30平方公里。境内为候鸟栖息地，记录有蓝喉蜂虎、斑鱼狗、金腰燕等珍稀鸟类。[1]

据第七次全国人口普查，全镇常住人口为9445人，统计时点是2020年11月1日零时。[4] 延平区政府网站另称全镇总人口约1.2万人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
炉下一带宋代属归善乡，明代分属东架寿山里、崇仁里和杜溪里，清代沿袭明制。[3] 1943年设炉溪乡，1946年改称炉湄乡，1950年改为炉下乡，1961年7月成立炉下人民公社，1963年6月划归南平市。[3]
1984年9月，炉下公社改设为炉下乡，乡政府驻炉下村。1995年1月撤市设区，炉下归入延平区；同年3月改为炉下镇。[3][4]
镇名取自驻地炉下村：“炉”指古时的冶铁炉，“下”表示方位，合起来是建在下方的村落。[2]
经济[edit]
境内有市、区两级工业园区，园内集中了胶带制造、金属铸造、机械机电、电线电缆等行业。[1] 特色产业有樟林现代休闲渔业，斜溪一带发展乡村旅游，业态包括洲头文旅项目、供销社、三乡人驿站和蓝喉蜂虎观鸟基地。[1] 主要农作物为水稻、玉米和果蔬。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
林重寺是唐大中三年（849年）建立的古寺，最初称林崇院，元代起改用现名。[5] 该寺在2012年公布的文物普查名录中列为区级文物保护单位，名录上的年代记为清代。[7]
李侗墓在瓦口村，墓葬属宋代，建于绍兴三十三年（1163年），此后屡经修葺。[2] 百度百科注明墓在民国初期重修过。[6] 该墓同样列入上述区级文物名录。[7]
炉下镇有八处青铜时代遗址，分别是龙村遗址、炉下水尾山遗址、炉下后门山遗址、炉下斑竹山遗址、炉下垅坪山遗址、朱山头双荔枝山遗址、朱山头后门窝遗址和瓦口木元山遗址。[7]
据政府网站，境内发现了九处商代陶片遗存，本地历史超过三千年。[1] 镇内还有始建于梁代的三清宫道观。[1] 政府网站称境内留有一棵见证朱熹求学的千年古樟。[1]
著名人物[edit]
南宋学者李侗生于1093年、卒于1163年，字愿中，人称延平先生，南剑州剑浦县人。[8] 他是延平四贤之一，延平区政府网站称炉下镇是他的故里，墓地也在镇内。[1]
文化[edit]
炉下镇先后获得「省级文明乡镇」「省级卫生乡镇」称号，并被评为「南平市生态文明示范区建设先进集体」。[1] 2021年2月，炉下镇列入「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2021年12月，被确定为「2021年度南平市“平安农机”示范乡镇」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[2]
