洋后村是洋后镇下辖的行政村，镇政府驻地设于本村，镇名由此得来。[3]

村址是镇内的集镇所在地。村前有一大片洋面田，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）村址已属遵教里，入清后沿用旧制。民国期间，村址先隶属南平县第四区的遵教乡，后改为洋后保，1946年划入遵福乡。[1]

新中国成立后，1950年以洋后为村名，1958年编为洋后大队，划归飞跃（大凤）人民公社。1961年起属洋后公社，1984年公社改为洋后乡，本村随之改设村委会；1992年乡制改为镇制。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

第三次全国文物普查不可移动文物名录中，洋后村登记有青铜时代的洋后牛尾山遗址，以及清代建筑洋后汀广会馆。[4]

经济[edit]

村内以林业和农业为主，山林中多种杉木、松树和毛竹。粮食作物里稻谷的种植面积占85％以上，甘薯与玉米次之；经济作物有槟榔芋、烟叶、水果、蔬菜和食用菌等。[2]

2024年11月，洋后村被认定为「2024年度福建省一村一品专业村」（茶叶）。[1]
