上际村是茫荡镇下辖的行政村。村处小涧，村尾有一小漈，故名上际。宋代时此地称富沙村，村中设有集市。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清顺治十四年（1657年）属新兴里。1934年归南平县第二区，1941年改入大洋乡，称上际保；1949年列入第七区，1952年归第十一区，改称上际乡。[1][2]

1958年隶红专（峡阳）公社，称上际大队；1984年归大洋乡辖；2002年撤销茂地镇与大洋乡后，划归茫荡镇，改称上际村委会。[1][2]

文化遗产[edit]

村尾的富沙桥始建于宋代，初为廊桥，后桥亭毁坏，现为单孔石桥，全长约三十米，宽约六米。[3]
