照口村是茫荡镇西北部的行政村，因靠近照口火车站而得名。村域与王台镇际洲村相邻。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

照口大队组建于1975年（博雅地名网另一处载为1976年），由邻近村庄的部分自然村析出而成。1980年撤公社建乡后，大队改称照口村，属茂地乡。1984年改设茂地乡照口村委会。[1][2]

2002年撤销茂地镇、大洋乡后，照口村属茫荡镇。[1]
