小楠坪村是茫荡镇下辖的行政村。村名的来历是这里盛产楠木，村庄处在一片坪地上。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）此地属梅岐南里，顺治十四年（1657年）改隶梅南里。1934年归南平县第二区茂地乡，1943年改入宝茂乡。1949年以后先后隶属第六区与第十一区，1956年划入王台区。[1]

1958年并入「绿色金库（王台）人民公社」；1961年，王台公社把它划出，改属茂地公社；1984年改设茂地乡小楠坪村委会；2002年撤销茂地镇与大洋乡后，属茫荡镇。[1][3]

文化遗产[edit]

2012年延平区不可移动文物名录收有小楠坪的余青永宅第，为清代古建筑。[2]
