谢地村是茫荡镇下辖的行政村，村名取自谢姓最早在此定居之意。村中有延福桥等文物。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）此地属梅西里，清代沿袭旧制。1934年隶南平县第二区宝珠乡，1941年改属茂地乡，1943年归宝茂乡，并称谢地保。1949年后分属第六区与第十一区；1952年设谢地乡，1956年划入王台区。[1]

1958年并入「绿色金库（王台）人民公社」，1961年自王台分出，改隶茂地公社；1984年改茂地乡谢地村委会；2002年撤销茂地镇与大洋乡后，归茫荡镇。[1][3]

文化遗产[edit]

延福桥为清代石桥，2012年名录将其列为区级文物保护单位。上边谢氏祠堂亦为清代建筑，同见于该名录。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予谢地村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
