塔前镇位于福建省南平市延平区南部，地处延平、沙县、尤溪三县（区）交界处，辖14个行政村。镇境东接夏道镇与炉下镇，南面与尤溪县联合乡相邻，西侧靠沙县，北边与西芹镇相连。福银高速与南平至尤溪的县道穿境而过，距延平城区31公里。镇境多山，金凤山海拔1387.2米，是延平区海拔最高的山峰。镇名源于旧时镇前的一座七层白塔，1993年撤乡建镇。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧称白塔、塔前、土堡。宋末元初，塔前溪与石城溪汇流处曾建七层白塔，明正统年间毁弃，原址后修筑永济堡。1993年，牛头山上重建了一座七层宝塔，用以纪念旧塔。[1]

1949年8月，南平县的人民革命政府将辖区划为八个区，此地归第五区（西芹）管辖。1961年改设土堡公社，1984年公社撤销后改称土堡乡；1989年改名塔前乡，1993年撤乡设镇。[1][3]

1939年8月，菖上村人余维新受党组织派遣返回家乡开展地下工作。他发展党员后，于1940年5月22日在下场成立菖蒲洋党支部，此后该支部被视为南平、尤溪、沙县交界处的第一个农村党支部。[1][5]

地理环境[edit]

镇内多山，金凤山为延平区海拔最高的山峰。镇境位于中亚热带季风区，气候温和湿润，年平均气温摄氏19度，无霜期为285天，年降雨量1600毫米。全镇森林面积约9.84万亩，覆盖率72.29%。[1]

镇中心距福银高速塔前互通口1.8公里，距延平城区31公里，交通便利。[1][2]

经济[edit]

农业以特色种植为主。棚下村发展花卉种植，辖区内有一家花卉企业，经营生产、加工与销售。[1]

赤坑村以果蔬种植为主，打造了「赤坑桔柚」「福瑞蔬菜」等商标，并依托农产品分拣中心提高农产品的附加值。[1]

菖上村与虎山村发展特色民宿和农家乐，接待避暑旅游团队。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

菖上古堡旅游景区位于菖上村，在延平区西南端，与尤溪、沙县交界。该村所在的山区平均海拔为750米。[2]

2012年延平区公布的不可移动文物名录收录的文物有：石城村的「石城福兴桥」，清代建，区级文物保护单位；西洋村的「西洋井」，北宋建（公元1091年），区级文物保护单位；菖上村的「余维新烈士墓」，民国时期建，区级文物保护单位。[1][4]

此外，名录还收录了菖上村的「下场南平县农村第一支部旧址」（1940年）、棚下村的「上坑会师旧址」（1947年）、西洋村的「白叶山纪延洪故居」（民国）以及西洋村的「西坑黄厝龙遗址」（青铜时代）。[4]

西洋的「龙岗寨」为明正统三年（公元1438年）邓茂七部屯军之地。[1]

镇内宗教场所有「米岩观」「莲花寺」「白马三圣大王寺」「华光庙」「伏虎庙」。[1]

著名人物[edit]

余维新（1915年至1943年），生于菖蒲洋，即今菖上村。他于1937年入党，1942年在尤溪县九都被捕，1943年5月12日在被关押期间牺牲。[5]
