太平村位于闽江西岸、316国道旁，是太平镇政府所在地。距南平市区40公里，距福州130公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1941年，此地属太平乡，名为太平保。1958年为太平大队，1984年改设太平村村民委员会。镇建制始于1992年，那时太平乡已升为镇，镇政府就设在本村。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村包括太平和下过溪两个自然村，共16个村民小组，村民均属库区移民。[2]

经济[edit]

村中有库湾养殖与网箱养鱼，养殖的鱼种有30多种，包括花鲢、白鲢等。果树有雪柑、芦柑、密柚、脐橙等。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的白马庙为砖木结构，据博雅地名网始建于宋代，1989年又经重建；2012年的文物名录称太平白马殿，年代定为清代。[2][4]

文化[edit]

该村于2022年10月列为2022年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄。[1]
