九潭村位于闽江北岸，距太平镇政府5公里，距南平市区45公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村委会设在九里潭，村中一带形如水潭，村名因此而来。[1]
明洪武元年（1368）属金砂里；1958年称九潭大队，1984年改为九潭村村民委员会，1992年随太平乡改为太平镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村内划为8个村民小组，所辖自然村有九潭本村、上庭坑、围坑与石榴坑。村属福建水口水电站库区的搬迁村。[1]
文化[edit]
2023年10月，九潭村入选2023年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄名单。[1]
