刘家村位于太平镇闽江南岸，紧邻316国道，距镇政府所在地约1公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是此处以刘姓居民为主，据《1993年南平市志·地名志》。明洪武元年（1368）此地属泰平里；1941年属太平乡，称刘家寨保；1958年改称刘家大队，1984年改为刘家村村民委员会，1992年随太平乡改为太平镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

1990年，刘家旧村与蛟坑、村厝两个自然村合并搬迁到铁画银钩鲤鱼洲的新址，仍沿用刘家村名。该村是水库移民村。[1]

村内的刘家真君殿在316国道边，博雅地名网称殿宇据信始建于宋代，此后历经修葺。[2]
