后洋源村是延平区王台镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域北部，距集镇约9公里。村名的来历：村委会驻后洋源，村后有一片洋面田，村舍在前，故名。此说见于《1993年南平市志·地名志》。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1657年（清顺治十四年）此地属太平里。1934年归第七区，1941年并入王台镇的坋垱保，此后经台溪镇、第六区等建制。1950年代起归王台镇，1958年划入绿色金库（王台）公社。1984年后归王台乡，1991年改属王台镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，后洋源村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1]
