上溪口村是延平区王台镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域北部，处在高埠溪与富屯溪的交汇处，距集镇约13公里。1980年，因与樟湖镇溪口村同名，南平市地名办将此地改名上溪口村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1657年（清顺治十四年）此地属安福里；1934年归第七区；1941年称溪口保，属第二区埂尾乡；1946年属建江乡；1950年划入第六区埂溪乡；1958年划归绿色金库（王台）公社；1961年归高埠公社，1963年回王台公社；1984年归王台乡，1991年改属王台镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

上溪口苏维埃革命委员会旧址建于清光绪三十年（1904年），原为黄姓一户已衰落的地主的私宅。1933年8月，东方军五师十五团来到上溪口，就地设立「中华苏维埃共和国南平溪口革命委员会」，并开展了分田地等革命活动。1997年，旧址成为市级爱国主义教育基地；1989年，它被定为第四批南平市级文物保护单位。[2][3]

区文物普查名录登记的上溪口一带遗址有三处，即公林场遗址、罗干山遗址和作埠甲山遗址，均属青铜时代。村内还有清代的「溪口叶积忠宅第」。[4]

经济[edit]

村民生计以种植、养殖和外出务工为主。柑桔栽培在全镇数第一。村内蕴藏高岭土，曾办过陶瓷厂。[2]
