王台村是延平区王台镇下辖的行政村，位于镇集镇所在地，地势依山傍水，交通便利。村名的来历：村委会驻王台，相传五代闽越王曾在此地筑台，村名由此而来。村内有八角楼、东方军旧址和越王台等遗迹。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1657年（清顺治十四年）时此地属天竺里。民国年间，村地分为台上、台中、台下三保，后归台溪镇管辖。1958年起称王台大队，1984年划入王台乡，1991年改属镇建制。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

八角楼位于村中，清光绪十八年（1892年）建成。1933年8月东方军驻王台时，彭德怀与第十九路军代表陈公培曾在此谈判。1982年，八角楼被定为市级文物保护单位。[2]

越王台始建于西汉年间，因沙溪口水电站建设，原址被淹没，1991年3月迁址重建。[3]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，王台村获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。2021年12月，该村被认定为「2021年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」。2020年12月，王台村入选「2019年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单，产品为百合。1990年，该村获评市级文明村。[1][2]
