局头村是南山镇下辖的行政村，原为局头自然村，1975年改为良种场，2004年设为村民委员会。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据《南平市志·地名志》（1993年）所载，此地原为「局头自然村」，后改称「局头良种场」，故名。1975年，此处改为良种场，即「局头良种场」，属独立单位，实行双重管理；2004年12月27日，良种场改设为局头村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

局头狗头山遗址属新石器时代，列入2012年名录。[2]
