历史沿革[edit]
据《南平市志·地名志》（1993年），村委会驻岩溪，此处山岩多石，岩底有坑，古时称坑为溪，村因此得名。明洪武元年（1368年）属遵教里，清代沿袭。民国时期此地属遵教乡，后有童子园保、桐坑保之称。1949年归第二区凤山镇前村乡，1950年改属大凤镇前村乡；1958年称桐坑大队，1961年改属江边公社，1963年并入大凤公社，1984年属大凤乡；1988年，自桐坑村委分出，另设岩溪村。[1][2]
文化[edit]
1948年，中共闽浙赣省委机关由上明洋迁到岩溪村，开展革命活动。1987年，岩溪村被福建省评定为老区基点村。[2]
