明前街村位于南山镇西南部，面积为0.6572万亩，共369户。村内有游居敬墓等文物古迹。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名沿用南山村驻地旧称「明前洋」，据《南平市志·地名志》（1993年）所载。1997年，原南山大村分出五个村，明前街村为其一。[1][2]

1933年，红军第三军团的彭德怀、滕代远率部围攻南平城时，有一支三百余人的东方军队伍进入南山一带，宣传革命。1987年，该村被认定为老区村。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

游居敬墓，明代建造，为区级文物保护单位。村中还有明前吴氏祠堂延陵堂与明前两吴书院，二者都是清代建筑。明前后前尾遗址属青铜时代，列在2012年名录之中。[3]
