地名由来[edit]

据《南平市志·地名志》（1993年），古人来此开垦种地，因葛根多而长势茂盛，故名。[1]

人口[edit]

2011年，辖区常住人口316户、1268人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

原称葛延，明洪武元年（1368）属梅南里。1947年称葛大保，1952年设葛大乡，1963年归峡阳公社，1984年改属峡阳镇。[1]
