峰坪村位于西芹镇驻地西南部约12千米，海拔450米。村内有10个自然村，其中峰坪、三峰、黄坑等是其中的几个。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）属大外里，清代仍之。民国时期属西洋乡，称峰坪保，后归洋洲乡峰坪保。1958年划入火车头（西芹）人民公社，1961年另设峰坪公社，1963年复并入西芹公社，1984年改为今名。[3][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子地处山垄中的平地，村名由此而来。[4]

文化[edit]

1935年，村内办起了南平县洋州乡峰坪学校，1956年更名为峰坪基点学校。村中早年设有“书丁田”，以所收田租资助子弟读书。[2]

村内有三井庙、廻龙祖殿、胜峰殿三座庙宇。[2]

福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定峰坪村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
