坑底村位于西芹镇驻地西面约8.3千米，坐落在沙溪与富屯溪交汇处。村内共有9个自然村，包括金沙、立墩、沙溪口、矮坑等。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）属长沙上里，清代仍之。民国时期属西洋乡，称坑底保，后归洋洲乡。1950年设坑底乡，1958年划入火车头（西芹）人民公社，称坑底大队；1984年改为坑底村委员会。[2][1]

地名由来[edit]

村地处山涧尾部，故得此名。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村子沿沙溪、富屯溪两岸的河畔而建，属沙溪口电站库区移民重点村之一，其中三个自然村整体搬迁。[1]

经济[edit]

土特产有早钟6号枇杷、脐橙、血橙与芦柑，村民生计以种植为主，林业居次。[1]
