墘兜村位于西芹镇驻地南偏西约21千米，海拔580米，村内有5个自然村：坑兜、墘山、甲头、坑源、横坑尾。1984年改为今名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）属大外里，清代仍之。民国时期归洋洲乡，称墘兜保；1954年改属第十区，设墘兜乡；1956年改属塘沙乡。1958年并入火车头（西芹）人民公社，1961年另设南洲公社，1963年归西芹公社，1984年改为今名。[3][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名取自坑兜与墘山两个自然村各一个字。[4]

经济[edit]

村内有水电站2座，竹凉席加工厂1家。2011年人均收入7300元。[2]

文化[edit]

村子获得的荣誉有：2023年10月，村入选「2023年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」名单。[1]
