留墩村在西芹镇驻地西南面约4.25千米，村内有6个自然村，分别是留墩、磨窠、杉坑、外洋、半上洋、槐树坑。1984年改为今名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）属开平里，清代仍之。民国时期属西洋乡，称留墩保。1958年划入火车头（西芹）人民公社，1984年改为今名。[3][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名原以刘姓命名。[4]

经济[edit]

村地海拔低，土壤肥沃。上世纪八十年代末，村子被划为南平市的蔬菜基地之一（1989年认定），村内成立了德丰果蔬专业合作社，主产蔬菜、柑桔、毛竹与笋。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

芹山祖殿伏虎庙位于村内黄坑口的金狗山。庙始建于唐代，清代被毁，1989年村民与各方捐资、筹工筹劳重建，1991年祖殿峻工。[2]
