吉洋村地处西芹镇驻地的西南方，距镇驻地约7.75千米，海拔320米。村内共4个自然村：吉洋、岩头窠、秋竹窠、叶坑，属畲族所在的行政村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）属开平里，清代仍之。民国时期先后归西洋乡与洋洲乡，1949年列入第五区，1958年并入火车头（西芹）人民公社，1984年改为今名。[3][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名寓意此地为吉祥福地。[4]

人口民族[edit]

村内以雷、兰、康、刘等姓为多。[2]

文化[edit]

每年农历三月三，村里办起畲族“三月三”民俗文化节，男女老少着盛装参加，并请各界人士到场，借此普及科技知识，宣传生态保护。[1]
