历史沿革[edit]
明洪武元年（1368年）已有此地，属开平里。1936年划入第一区，1949年归第五区，1952年设为长建乡，1958年划入火车头（西芹）人民公社，1984年属西芹镇。[1][2]
地名由来[edit]
据《南平市志·地名志》，村名取自奠基者久居兴建之意。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
长建村头庵革命旧址位于村头自然村，为区级文物保护单位。[4][5]
文化[edit]
2021年2月，村在「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单中上榜；同年11月，福建省爱卫办又将长建村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
