西芹社区村是西芹镇辖的20个行政村之一，位于集镇中心一带，西芹镇政府所在地也在村境内。[3][1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

西芹古称三芹，清代改称西芹，并设西芹铺。明洪武元年（1368年）属长沙下里，清代仍之。1958年改隶火车头人民公社，称西芹大队；1984年定名西芹村，2008年2月成立西芹社区村。[2]

1977年3月，原西芹大队分家，析出农业与蔬菜两个大队，其中蔬菜大队即今兴华村。[2]

地名由来[edit]

《南平市志·地名志》认为，村名取自驻地西芹，古称三芹，地处城区西部，南面有大芹溪。[8]

名胜古迹[edit]

开平寺在村内。该寺于后梁开平四年（910年）已经创建，原称报国显亲院，元朝时更名为寺院。名录将其列为区级文物保护单位，标注年代为清代。[5][6][7]

名录所列西芹村内的其他不可移动文物还有西芹院口瓷窑址，以及西芹天后宫、西芹临水宫、西芹玉封庙，均标注为清代。[5]

文化[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月将西芹村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2023年10月，村又被选入「2023年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」名单。[1]
