西芹社区是西芹镇的社区居民委员会，驻地在集镇中心区，1964年7月10日设立居委会，2002年改称西芹社区居民委员会。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1964年7月10日设立西芹居委会，隶属西芹镇；2002年起称西芹社区居民委员会，隶属关系未变。[2][1]

地名由来[edit]

1993年出版的《南平市志·地名志》认为，居委会驻地西芹古称三芹，地处城区西部，南面有大芹溪，地名由此而来。[3]
