水井窠村位于南平市江南新区与江南工业园区范围之内，距南平市区约12公里，属夏道镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：四周依山环抱而缺乏水源，居民便在溪边凿井取水，村名因此而来。[2]

明清时在寿山里的范围内。1934年划为第六区所辖，1941年归第一区下道乡，1946年改入徐洋保。解放后1949年隶第四区徐洋乡，1958年并入东方红（夏道）公社，1984年复为夏道镇属村。[3]

人口民族[edit]

村中居民有畲族。[1]

文化[edit]

2006年，南平市将村庄列为「社会主义新农村建设示范村」；2021年11月，村庄被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
