小坪村位于夏道镇的山区，距夏道集镇约17公里，村庄坐落于米山山麓。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村辖一个主村与两个小型自然村，属夏道镇的高山村之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：村庄位于米山山麓的一块小平地上。[2]

明清时属云盖里；1934年归第六区，1941年为第一区鸠洋乡下的田地保。1949年至1957年隶第四区鸠上乡，称田地村；1958年在东方红（夏道）公社下设田地大队，1961年划归鸠上公社，1963年归夏道公社，改称小坪大队。1984年改为夏道镇，大队改设为小坪村村民委员会。[3]

2021年11月，村庄被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
