鸠上村位于延平区西南侧，距城区约15公里，西与塔前镇交界，北邻田地村与小坪村，为夏道镇的村庄之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村委会驻鸠上，村名原为鸠源，1932年改称鸠上，寓意鸠鸟聚集而安定。[2]

明清属云盖里；1934年归第六区鸠洋乡，1941年设为鸠洋乡下的鸠上保。1949年归第四区鸠洋乡，1950年至1955年称鸠上乡，1956年改属夏道区。1958年在东方红（夏道）公社下置鸠上大队，1961年设鸠上公社，1963年并入夏道公社改为大队；1984年改设鸠上村委会，属夏道镇。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有青铜时代的鸠上后街墩遗址，列入《延平区第三次全国文物普查不可移动文物名录》。[4]
