武步村位于樟湖集镇北岸，距集镇约8公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名来自穿村而过的武步溪。[1]
明初（1368年）此地属南平县垂裕乡长安北里。1934年为新溪乡下的武香保，1946年随新溪乡并入樟湖镇，改称武步乡；其后1956年改属樟湖区，1961年一度归溪口公社，1963年称武步大队，1984年设村委会。[1]
2021年11月，武步村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；同年12月，又被认定为「2021年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」。[1]
