东山村位于来舟镇东面，因村庄位于集镇东面靠山的位置而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时为梅东里一部分。民国30年起归第二区宝珠乡的高吴保管辖，民国36年改属宝茂乡的浆夹保。[2]

1950年至1957年间归第十一区，名东山乡。[2]

1958年，此地归王台公社，村名为东山大队。1963年改隶来舟镇，仍叫东山大队；1984年才改称东山村。[2]

2022年10月，东山村入选「2022年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」名单。[1]
