王富村位于来舟镇北部，因王氏始居于此得名。据传五代闽越王王审知的后裔在此奠基，村名旧称王墖，1980年代改为今名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代属梅东里。民国30年（1941年）起隶属第二区宝珠乡，民国35年（1946年）改隶宝茂乡，村名仍为王富保。[2]

1950年至1956年间属第六区王台镇，村名为王富村。1958年改由王台公社管辖，称王富大队。1972年划归来舟镇，仍为王富大队。1984年改称王富村委会。[2]

福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月把王富村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
