建设社区位于来舟镇北面，前身为来舟手联社。名称取自组织居民建设来舟镇之意，寓意创立新事业、增加新设施。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区前身为来舟手联社。1966年成立时叫建设居委会，到2002年才更名为建设社区居民委员会，隶属来舟镇。[1]

居民原多为外来户，成立之初仅200多人。20世纪90年代，全镇双管单位和企业的职工也并入本居委会。[2]
