玉屏山社区坐落在玉屏桥东侧。它的东面与南平电缆厂为邻，南面面向延平湖，西面是建溪，北面连着工业路。社区名称因辖区北靠玉屏山而来。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

社区1982年成立，起初称水东街居委会，早先只是一处小渔村。1995年新建玉屏大桥后，陆续开发商住房；2002年4月，改称玉屏山社区居民委员会。[1][2]

社区覆盖的范围集中在闽江路与玉屏路沿线。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年2月，社区获评省级文明村镇社区，评定年度为2018年至2020年。[1]

2024年1月，社区获得命名为2023年福建省卫生社区的称号。[1]
