金鸡山社区在南平市延平区水东街道北部，东边紧邻东溪社区，南侧靠着建溪岸边，西端到南平水控厂一带。社区名称取自北面的金鸡山。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

最早有戴姓人家在此定居，地名随其姓氏，后谐音写作大家厂。1989年改设金鸡山居委会，2002年改为金鸡山社区居民委员会。[3]

经济[edit]

南平钢厂和化纤厂破产后，辖区内设立了高新针纺工业园区，园内有制衣、针织和化纤企业多家。[2]

文化[edit]

2010年6月，社区建立居家养老服务站；2012年7月，社区设立代理受理点，涉及劳动就业、计划生育、社会保障等事务。[2]

2009年，延平区委和区政府将社区评为2009至2011年度的文明社区。[2]
