后谷社区是延平区水南街道下辖的社区，地处市区城郊南部。社区南面临富屯溪，隔河与南平师专相望，北面与后谷村相邻。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区1982年3月成立，最初为后谷居委会；2002年定名为后谷社区，归水南街道管辖。[1]
社会服务[edit]
社区设有卫生服务中心和居家养老服务站，定期为老年人举办健康讲座，并有合唱队、舞蹈队、健身操队和太极拳队等群众团队。[2]
延平区委与区政府在2012年6月授予该社区「文明社区」称号。[2]
