辖区旧时建有钟楼与鼓楼，社区因此取名鼓楼。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年成立居委会时定名为鼓楼居委会。文化大革命期间改名立新居委会，之后恢复原名。2002年，它改称鼓楼社区居民委员会。[1]
