社区名称取意于宋代筑造城垣时，土「重如金」的说法。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区于1956年设立。「文革」期间它一度叫「反帝」居委会，此后于1985年复用黄金山居委会之名。2002年，它以黄金山社区居民委员的名称延续，仍归紫云街道管辖。[1]
