大作社区位于延平区黄墩街道辖区内，属主城区。社区名称来自居民委员会驻地的地名“大作”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1978年至1983年间，南平造纸厂扩建时征用了这里的土地。1983年5月，农业户口转为非农业户口，组成大作居民委员会；2002年改称大作社区居民委员会，属黄墩街道。[1]
