金山塔社区在梅山街道东北部，名称取自驻地后山原有的金山塔。社区东靠明翠阁，北临环城中路，南接梅园新村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1982年3月，金山塔居委会从自强社区划分出来；2002年，它转为金山塔社区居民委员会。[1]

2005年4月，社区以「示范社区单位」受到区城市社区建设领导小组表彰。2009年7月，延平区政府授予「2006-2008年度文明社区」称号；2012年6月，又获「2009-2011年度文明社区」称号。[2]

2010年9月，社区设立居家养老服务站，面向六十岁以上居民开展文化娱乐、心理咨询、法律咨询等服务。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内有「金山塔鬼城遗址」，为宋代古遗址，列入延平区第三次全国文物普查的不可移动文物名录。[3]
