西陂村是福建省漳州市华安县湖林乡下辖的行政村，也是乡政府的驻地。村子位于九龙江北溪中游，闽中通道穿村而过，距华安县城17公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村西面有一座山，形状似狮，山脚相连，本称「狮毗」。狮毗与当地方言中的“西陂”读音相近，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1943年，西陂属珍山乡管辖。解放初，沿用西陂之名设乡。1958年成为西陂大队，1984年又改设西陂村委会。[1]

据维基百科，村中王姓以明永乐十二年由安溪迁入的王惠忠为开基始祖，传38世，族人500多人。[2]
