建国前此地设岭埔边保与官埔保，两保各取一字，合为岭埔。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初与云山合并称云山乡，1955年与云山分开设岭埔乡，1959年后为岭埔大队，1984年改设岭埔村委会。[2]

村内下辖5个自然村，村民居住较分散。[2]
