地名由来[edit]
村名取自市上、后坑两个自然村名的首字合并而成。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1941年定为市后，建国后改称市后村或市后乡，1958年改为市后大队，1984年改设市后村委会，地名沿用至今。[2]
姓氏[edit]
村中以苏氏、詹氏为主。据维基百科，詹姓开基祖詹敬仪于公元1305年由安溪县多卿乡迁来市后村。[1][2]

华仙茶都与天福集团的华安茶厂均设在村内，茶叶是村里的主要产业。[2]
