高宅村位于华安县中南部，靠近九龙江北溪，南面与沙建镇利水村接壤，西面与下路村相邻。省道漳华线穿村而过。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村址选在向阳的平缓山坡上，宅居高于低处，因此称“高宅”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地在1943年隶属坪治乡；新中国成立后划入五岳乡，1958年归入五岳大队管辖。1961年，大队驻地拆分到高宅，1985年改设高宅村委会。[1]
自然景观[edit]
沙坑口有一处「龙潭」，瀑布自五十多米高的峡谷泻下，潭水面积五百多平方米，颜色深绿。潭边巨石上刻有字迹，至今尚未释读，称「龙潭仙字」。[2]
物产[edit]
村里主要种植甘蔗，也产林果和竹子，近年发展了铁观音茶园。[2]
