浦西村位于华安县南端，靠近九龙江岸，东与玉兰村相接，北面有潭口火车站，鹰厦铁路穿村东北而过。距丰山镇政府约4公里、距华安县城约65公里。村落面积0.6平方公里，全村五百多人、一百四十多户，辖两个自然村。[1][2]
地名与历史[edit]
村名来自村中的浦西自然村。村子旧属龙溪县，旧称漳州府二四都浦西保。[1]
据村史，村中以陈元光为开漳始祖。北宋仁宗天圣年间，陈元光的第十五世后裔陈援分居，在此开立浦西社。[2]
村貌[edit]
村道为水泥路，村周围荔枝、龙眼等果树成荫，村子多年被镇、县两级政府评为文明村。[2]
