后壁沟村位于丰山镇中心区，地势较低，丰山镇政府驻于本村。村名取自村庄建在一条排水沟前面的地貌。[1][2]

地名与历史[edit]

古时整个丰山只有一条排水沟通向九龙江，先民在此开基，村庄建在沟前，因而得名。[1]

1943年至1949年间属建至乡半山保，解放初属第三区丰山乡，1958年公社化时称后壁沟大队，1984年改称后壁沟村委会。[1]
