湖坪村位于丰山镇西南，处在华安县南部。县级安全文明村的称号归它所有，县内工业集中区也设在这里，离漳州港约48公里。全村分12个村民小组，共1848人、560户，以种植香蕉为主业。[1]

地名与历史[edit]

村庄建在一片湖的岸边，原湖名“湖里堀”，因而称为湖坪。[1]

1943年至1949年间，村子属建至乡管辖，称丰山保湖坪甲。建国后归第三区的丰山乡，1958年设湖坪大队，1984年改为湖坪村委会。[1]
