银塘村地处九龙江北溪下游江畔，在丰山镇西北，东与长泰县接壤，南与湖坪村相连，距丰山镇政府约3公里、距漳州市区20多公里。村子占地8平方公里，有700多户、2700多人；村内下设18个村民小组，另管辖2个自然村。[1][2]
地名与历史[edit]
据地名考察，村中聚居赵氏，村名取金、银、玉、碧集财于一堂之意，故称银塘。[1]
清代村子属漳州府龙溪县游仙乡九龙里银塘保。赵氏始祖赵与傲于南宋宝庆年间入闽迁居此地，至今已有七百多年。博雅地名网称，古时村中出过举人15人、进士7人。[1]
1958年成立银塘大队，1984年设为银塘村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
银塘赵氏宗祠坐西朝东，前厅、天井、过水廊、主堂依次相连，占地740平方米。祠内保存宋末至清中期的《赵氏族谱》七部和明代墓志铭。2013年1月，福建省人民政府将其核定公布为「福建省第八批省级文物保护单位」，2023年修缮工程完工。[3]
村址布局如木筏形，因村子临水近江，地势设计以防水患。村中赵氏祖庙崇本堂，建筑面积750平方米。另有三座楼堡式古民居。[1]
物产[edit]
村里多种龙眼、荔枝、柑橘、柚子，盛产香蕉；养殖以生猪和淡水鱼为主。[1]
