名称与历史[edit]
村中有一座四角形的“嘉美楼”，因方言谐音而称下尾，村名由此而来。[2]
1958年公社化时成立下尾大队，1984年改设为下尾村委会。[1]
建筑与文物[edit]
村中的养正宫始建于1670年，2003年投入六十多万元重新修复。嘉美楼为长方形两层夯土楼，墙厚近1.5米，南北各开一门，是古时避难和防御的场所。养正宫、嘉美楼列为县级文物保护单位。[2]
荣誉[edit]
1998年，市里批准下尾村为首批「十片村」新村示范点；县委在2005年和2006年两次把它评为「五好支部」，2005年和2006年它又被评为市老龄爱老敬老示范村。[2]
