南峰村是秀峰乡的行政村，位于闽粤两省交界处，村名与所处位置有关。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄旧称大尖岩，意为大尖山的后面。因地处大尖山的南端，故名南峰。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此处在明代为大丰社，清代归北关约。1939年划入维新乡的大丰保，1957年改属文田乡。1958年并入双塘大队，1961年析出另设南峰大队，隶长乐公社。1984年成为南峰村委会，1993年划归秀峰乡。[1][2]
